Did you know that one in five businesses with revenue earnings of $1 million or more are owned by women? There are over 9 million female business owners in the United States, and they employ nearly 7.9 million people. How’s that for women’s empowerment?! If you’ve been thinking about starting a business, just launched a business or even if you’re a seasoned vet looking to upgrade your business, take a moment to read over this hot list of things you need stand out in business.

1.Clear Vision Your vision is your ultimate goal for success in business. When you have a clear vision, it will keep you on track and focused on the right things, because you’re always conscious of where you’re going.

Always keep your vision at the forefront of your mind. Read and re-read your mission statement and say it out loud often. This will keep you focused on what really matters and help you avoid distractions as they come. This week, do a fresh vision board. Whenever I need more clarity, I get out the glue sticks and magazines and begin to post the pictures that speak to me. You’ll end up with a storyboard of clarity – a road map to pull you in the right direction!

2. Drive Drive is that strong determination that comes from deep within. It propels you forward and enables you to build upon your  momentum. When you have drive, motivation is fueled by passion and desire to get results.  Your drive is connected to your vision – the more you’re in tune with your ultimate goal, the more driven you’ll become to attain it.

Run your life and business with lots of drive and you’ll see success happen quickly for you. Business owners that put in long hours – late nights and early mornings, are pumped with passion to make things happen and achieve their goals. Drive starts with knowing your “why.” Take a moment and consider why you started a business and what makes you jump out of bed in the morning ready to hit it. Spend time thinking and meditating on your “why” and you’ll discover more drive and passion to build the booming business you’ve always wanted.

On my agenda now is planning for the 2016 Success Business Expo. It’s so fun and exciting because I’m completely in tune with my reasoning: To bring together inspiring entrepreneurs for empowerment, motivation and support. All this work feels like play because I love what I do! Want to see more of my planning process?  I’ve been sharing some behind-the-scenes photos of my work flow on Instagram, follow the hashtag #ldgary_ceo to see the entire process from beginning to end.

3. Inspiration One of the best ways to stay innovative and relevant in your business is by seeking inspiration.  Inspiration can come from so many different places. Choose what sparks your juices and add plenty more around you. For example,  outfit your  workspace with fresh flowers, artwork, beautiful photography,  to create a beautiful environment.  Start getting monthly motivation in the mail by subscribing to magazines and other periodicals that are full of ideas and new opportunities that you can implement into your business.

Schedule in weekly visits to the bookstore to find new information. Go remote with your workspace sometimes just to change the scenery and take in something new. Meet new people, just having a fresh conversation with customers or contemporaries can be very inspiring as well.
