Beginning a business or expanding can come with what seems to be an overwhelming to do list. Some may want to skip corners and just complete the bare minimum, which in my opinion just makes more work in the long run. I have narrowed down what I consider to be 4 essential plans to have in place when your goal is for your small business to succeed. Listed below is an overview: The Business Plan What are the what, when’s, how’s, and whys of your business? Having this plan detailed and in place gives your brand/business direction, as well as focus. Need a business plan template? The Branding Plan What is your brand identity? What is your brand voice? What need does your brand fill? How do you wa

You probably have an image firmly planted in your mind of what network marketing (also known as direct sales or multilevel marketing) is all about–housewives buying and selling Tupperware while gossiping and eating finger sandwiches, or a high-pressure salesperson trying to convince you how easily you can become a millionaire if only you and your friends and their friends and so on would buy and sell vitamins with him. Both of these images couldn’t be further from the reality of network marketing. It’s neither a hobby nor a get-rich-scheme but an opportunity for you to earn money running your own part- or full-time business. But what does it take to succeed in this industry? You have to have

It’s amazing how when you share your real story and or testimony God opens major doors. I am so encouraged that I was able to share some of my darkest times in this journey of life. I know you’re probably thinking… not “Mrs. Inspiration.” Well, yes it’s real and my story is a compilation of horror stories and real characters. Also, known as “SELF”. In this particular article I share how I was deeply depressed and desperate. How my heart was broken so many times as well as my self-esteem issues. I needed saving from my own demise. The September issue of NO COMPROMISE Magazine is life-changing, “I Will Live” and how people beat suicide, depression, and won. LaShanda’s article is on page 38. Re

6 TIPS TO BUILDING A BUSINESS WHILE WORKING A 9 TO 5 I have always been extremely adamant about showing others that we only have one life, and we must live it to the fullest. This includes building our dream businesses. We are programmed to work a job to pay the bills; even if we are unhappy with that job, we still stay. And when that happens our dream of building a business fueled by our passion takes a back seat to the perpetual work commutes, check to check paydays and not getting paid what we truly deserve. Now if you love your job and you have found happiness in your dream career, this post may not be for you. This is for those who would love to start a business that they are proud of a

EVERYBODY CAN’T GO One of the biggest and hardest lessons is this: EVERYBODY CAN’T GO. Not everyone is meant to be in your life forever. Not everyone who started with you is meant to finish with you and everything isn’t for everyone. When I first started Dream.Build.Success. I would get so frustrated when people didn’t show up when they said they would, didn’t do the work they promised to do or just didn’t take it seriously. Then I realized I couldn’t afford to waste my time begging people to believe in my business. I had to move on. If I would have spent all of my time and energy trying to pull people along with me, they would have eventually weighed me down and I would’ve been stuck. Someo

CREATE SOMETHING ALREADY! I grew up in a family that put a priority on working hard and doing your best at everything you set out to do. My parents encouraged us to pursue our interests (including running track, 4-H, and trying every new church song we heard), but that kind of creativity came after all the “real work” was done. When I started my business, it was hard for my family of logical-thinking-military-type individuals to believe it. They have tried to understand, but it was up to me to find a way to cultivate my creativity and turn it into a successful business. As my business has grown, I’ve learned that creativity isn’t always easy – in fact, sometimes I had to make a real effort t

LOVE AND HAPPINESS In any aspect of life, it is very resourceful to know your worth. It is even more helpful when you show gratitude for that worth! However you worship, meditate or celebrate; do you ever praise your worth? Do you praise your worth in the good and bad times? I’ve always loved to write, but I didn’t love myself as a writer when I had writer’s block! (It’s not real… it’s a trick of the enemy.) I would be my worst critic. That is until I took it upon myself to always be not only my biggest cheerleader but also act as my own next employer. How? When I may feel down about my position in my career, I was encouraged to update my resume! That alone lifted my confidence. Try it. You’
